MEET THE CHARACTERS
CAROLINE
Caroline lives a fairly ordinary life with a daughter and a husband. She working in a office and one day she just disappears leaving behind no evidence of what happened to her. Her family continue to look for her long after the police give up, but does she really want to be found?
DIGGER
Anna's dad Digger, has been suffering after his wife Caroline vanishes with no trace and the case gets dismissed. Digger tries to adapt to being a single dad and still hopes to find his missing wife . Digger's stressful job as acting Detective Inspector isn't helping and it is suggested he takes some time off to deal with his grief. He decides to continue looking into his wife's disappearance, refusing to accept the official police dismissal of the case.
ANNA
Anna is devastated after her mum goes missing and no one has any answers. After seeing her dads decreasing mental state and lake of sleep she decides she is going to look into her mother's disappearance. Anna soon realises she can't do it alone and accepts the help of her friends.
LUCAS
Lucas is quiet, reserved and has type one diabetes, because of this he has always had to watch what he's eating and worry about his blood sugar levels . But when Anna comes to him asking for his assistance to find her mum, he decides to help. His love of crime dramas proves helpful whilst they try to uncover the truth about what really happened.
MAGGIE
Maggie is lively and excitable and is always ready for an adventure. Maggie has dyslexia and struggles with school. After her fathers continued pressure on her failing grades , She decides to ditch her studies and focus her attention on helping find Anna's mum. However the added stress from her father and the investigation worsens her epilepsy.
VIENNA
Vienna suffers from severe migraines and dizziness, she's told to take it easy over the summer to take time to recover. But like the others she's keen to help Anna's search for her mum. Her parents leave her behind when they go on holiday with enough money to last the summer. Feeling alone and abandoned by her parents, Vienna decides to focus on helping Anna find her mum.
LOLA
Lola is not very academic and has a chaotic home life struggling with her parents messy divorce and her little sister who doesn't understand. She uses the summer and Anna's investigation as a distraction from her home life. Although she realises her mum and sister might need her more than she thought after her dad returns.
